Nov. 9 (Bloomberg) -- Adobe Systems Inc., the biggest maker of graphic-design software, said Chief Financial Officer Randy Furr resigned after six months on the job for personal reasons.
Furr's resignation, effective Nov. 7, is unrelated to his work and ``no issues have been raised regarding the integrity of the company's financial statements,'' Adobe said in a statement today. He will remain an adviser through the end of the year.
Chief Executive Officer Bruce Chizen hired Furr in May to replace retiring CFO Murray Demo. Furr, 52, was chief operating officer of Sanmina-SCI Corp. before leaving the electronics maker in October 2005, also for personal reasons. Chizen will serve as interim CFO at Adobe until a replacement is found.
``He resigned for personal reasons,'' said Jodi Warner, a spokeswoman for San Jose, California-based Adobe.
The company last month raised its profit forecast for the quarter ending Dec. 1, citing a gain from selling an equity investment and lower compensation costs.
Adobe's shares rose fell 12 cents to $39.69 at 4 p.m. New York time in Nasdaq Stock Market composite trading. They've gained 7.4 percent this year.
