U.K. Sells EU Carbon Permits at Auction for 14.20 Euros a Ton

Nov. 5 (Bloomberg) -- The U.K., the European Union’s third biggest economy, sold the right to emit 4.2 million metric tons of carbon dioxide for 14.20 euros ($23.49) a metric ton in an auction today. It received bids for 18.6 millions tons, according to the U.K. Debt Office.
