Nov. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Abu Dhabi will receive bids in December for a highway project worth 10 billion dirhams ($2.72 billion), John Lee, an advisor to Abu Dhabi’s Department of Transport, told reporters today.

Abu Dhabi’s government in February shortlisted five groups to build a 327 kilometer (203 mile) road from the emirate to Saudi Arabia. Impregilo SpA, MTD Capital Bhd., China Harbour Engineering Co., Macquarie Capital Group Ltd., Consolidated Contractors Co. of Greece, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Strabag Societas Europaea are among companies bidding for the contract.
