Aer Lingus, Interserve, Melrose Plc: U.K., Irish Equity Preview

March 11 (Bloomberg) -- The following is a list of companies whose shares may have unusual price changes in U.K. and Irish markets today. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are from the last market close.

The benchmark FTSE 100 Index rose 172.83 points, or 4.9 percent, to 3,715.23. The FTSE All-Share Index climbed 4.6 percent, and Ireland’s ISEQ Index gained 3.6 percent.

Aer Lingus Group Plc (AERL ID): Ireland’s second-biggest airline is scheduled to report earnings. The stock was unchanged at 0.79 euros.

BPP Holdings Plc (BPP LN): The U.K. professional-training company is expected to report earnings. BPP dropped 10 pence, or 3.4 percent, to 285 pence.

Costain Group Plc (COST LN): The U.K. contractor that helped build London’s Thames Barrier flood defense is scheduled to report earnings. Costain decreased 0.25 pence, or 1.1 percent, to 22.5 pence.

International Power Plc (IPR LN): The U.K. utility that produces electricity in 20 countries may say 2008 net income before one-time events dropped 12 percent to 444.5 million pounds, according to the median estimate of six analysts surveyed by Bloomberg News. International Power climbed 2 pence, or 1 percent, to 205 pence.

Interserve Plc (IRV LN): The company that maintains the British Army’s training grounds is scheduled to issue a statement on earnings. The share gained 2 pence, or 1.3 percent, to 162 pence.

ITV Plc (ITV LN): The U.K.’s biggest commercial broadcaster is considering a share sale to reduce its debt after talking to investors, the Financial Times reported, citing unidentified investors. ITV rose 1.25 pence, or 7.1 percent, to 18.75 pence.

Melrose Plc (MRO LN): The U.K. investment company that owns the maker of handles for Gillette razors is expected to report earnings. Melrose dropped 0.5 pence, or 0.8 percent, to 59.5 pence.

PartyGaming Plc (PRTY LN): The owner of the PartyPoker.com online gambling brand is expected to report earnings. PartyGaming declined 0.75 pence, or 0.3 percent, to 231.25 pence.

Savills Plc (SVS LN): The U.K. property broker is scheduled to report earnings. Savills fell 6 pence, or 2.3 percent, to 252 pence.

Tullow Oil Plc (TLW LN): The U.K. explorer with projects in Ghana and Uganda is scheduled to report earnings. The stock gained 19.5 pence, or 2.5 percent, to 812.5 pence.
