Japan's Eisai Wins U.S. FDA Priority Review for Aciphex Drug

March 1 (Bloomberg) -- Eisai Co., Japan's fourth-largest drugmaker, said the U.S. Food and Drug Administration granted priority review on a new treatment for its Aciphex stomach ulcer drug, the company said in a press release today.
The FDA will review the use of Aciphex for short-term treatments of up to 8 weeks for gastroesophageal reflux disease in patients aged 12 to 16, the company said.
