JAL May Link Pensions to Returns on 10-Year Bonds, Nikkei Says
By Fergus Maguire
Nov. 24 (Bloomberg) -- Japan Airlines Corp. may tie the yield on company pensions to the return on 10-year Japanese government bonds, Nikkei English News said, without citing anyone.
The move would bring down returns from 4.5 percent to about 1.5 percent, the report said.
The airline, which is seeking a state bailout, needs the support of retirees and current employees to reform its pension plan, the report said.
