July 21 (Bloomberg) -- A U.S. B-52 bomber crashed off the coast of Guam in the Pacific Ocean, the Associated Press reported.
The plane went down about 40 kilometers (25 miles) northwest of Apra Harbor, AP said today, citing the U.S. Coast Guard. Two of the six crew members have been recovered, AP reported, adding their condition wasn't immediately known.
The U.S. has military bases in Guam, an island located south of Japan. It is the second accident this year in the U.S. territory after a B-2 Stealth Bomber crashed at Andersen Air Force Base on the island, AP said.
The B-52 bomber is made by Chicago-based Boeing Co.
