Aug. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Airbus SAS, a unit of European Aeronautic Defence and Space Co., plans to fully assemble the successor to its A320 model in Hamburg, Financial Times Deutschland reported.

An unidentified Airbus spokesman confirmed the plan, FTD said. Airbus will split the assembly of its larger and smaller airplanes among Germany and France in the mid-term, the newspaper said.
