Czech Central Bank’s Tuma Rejects Nomination as EU Commissioner

Nov. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Czech central bank Governor Zdenek Tuma rejected his nomination to become the country’s next European Union commissioner, saying talks with party leaders revealed that he would not be a consensus candidate.
Tuma will remain as the head of the Ceska Narodni Banka, he said in a statement on the central bank’s Web site.
