Afghan Minister Says 4,000 Foreigners Join Taliban, AP Reports

Oct. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Around 4,000 foreign fighters, mostly from Chechnya, North Africa and Pakistan, have entered Afghanistan and “have joined” the Taliban insurgency, the Associated Press said, citing Defense Minister General Abdul Rahim Wardak.
“The enemy has changed,” the news agency cited Wardak as telling lawmakers in a speech today. “Their number has increased.”
