By Subramaniam Sharma

Aug. 23 (Bloomberg) -- Pakistani soldiers killed as many as 35 militants and wounded several others in the Kabal district of the Swat valley in the northwest of the country, Agence France- Presse reported.

Two soldiers were killed and three others injured in the operation, AFP said, citing military spokesman Nasir Ali.

Earlier today, six people including two policemen were killed in a suicide bombing and other attacks on police stations in the region, the report said.

Today's attack is the third in Pakistan in four days. A double suicide bombing on Aug. 21 at a weapons factory near the capital, Islamabad, killed at least 70 people, while an attack in the northern city of Dera Ismail Khan two days earlier killed 15.
