Dr. Reddy's Gets FDA Approval to Sell Generic Plavix in U.S.

Jan. 17 (Bloomberg) -- Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd., India's biggest drugmaker, won U.S. regulatory approval to sell its version of Plavix, a blood thinner sold by Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. and Sanofi-Aventis SA.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration allowed Hyderabad- based Dr. Reddy's to sell tablets of clopidogrel bisulfate, or generic Plavix, the regulator said on its Web site.
