Dec. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Lenovo Group Ltd., the world's third- biggest maker of personal computers, plans to expand in Europe, Handelsblatt said.

The company plans the opening of its first factory on the continent, the entry into the private client market and acquisitions, the newspaper said in an article to be published tomorrow, citing Chief Executive Officer William Amelio.

Lenovo increased its market share in Germany to 5 percent ``in a short period of time,'' the newspaper said, citing Amelio.

The company currently isn't in any concrete acquisition talks, the newspaper reported.
