Dec. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Shanghai Zhenhua Port Machinery Co., the world's biggest maker of quayside cranes, won a $200 million contract from Taipei Port Container Terminal Corp.

Zhenhua will deliver the cranes by 2009, it said in a statement to Shanghai's stock exchange today.

The company, which makes about 70 percent of the world's container cranes, is booking more orders for its machines as global growth in trade prompts shippers and ports to upgrade and buy more equipment. Zhenhua plans to add factories near Shanghai to help boost annual sales to customers including DP World Ltd. and A.P. Moeller-Maersk A/S by 12 billion yuan ($1.6 billion), it said in October. The company posted 16.8 billion yuan in sales in 2006.

Zhenhua's Shanghai-listed shares have gained 98 percent since the beginning of this year, compared with a 144 percent rise in the Chinese mainland's benchmark CSI 300 Index.
