Yunnan Aluminium to Raise About 1 Billion Yuan From Stock Sale

Jan. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Yunnan Aluminium Co., China's fourth- largest producer of the light metal, said it plans to raise about 1 billion yuan ($138 million) selling shares to build two plants.

The company, which has 873.6 million issued shares, plans to sell as many as 80 million new shares at 24.22 yuan each to investors on Jan. 14, it said in a statement to Shenzhen's stock exchange today. The company would raise 1.9 billion yuan if it sold all 80 million shares.

The stock rose 3.3 percent to 27.85 yuan in Shenzhen yesterday and more than tripled in 2007.

United Securities Co. will manage the share sale, the company said.
