Dec. 20 (Bloomberg) -- China National Heavy Truck Group Co., China's largest maker of heavy trucks, forecast more than 35 billion yuan ($4.75 billion) of sales this year.
The company, parent of Hong Kong-listed Sinotruk (Hong Kong) Ltd., has made 100,000 trucks this year, it said in a statement on its Web site yesterday. No sales or production figures for 2006 were provided in the statement for comparison.
Unlisted China National Heavy Truck and its Hong Kong unit, which started trading on the city's stock exchange on Nov. 28, were China's largest maker of trucks with a gross vehicle weight of more than 19 tons in the first nine months, with a 20.8 percent market share, according to a share-sale document.
Sinotruk (Hong Kong) has declined 20 percent from its HK$12.88 IPO price. The stock gained 1.2 percent to HK$10.26 at 10:06 a.m. in Hong Kong today.
