Robbie Williams May Choose City Over Record Labels, Times Says
By Kari Lundgren
Nov. 21 (Bloomberg) -- U.K. pop singer Robbie Williams may sell a 50 percent stake in future earnings to financial institutions for 50 million pounds ($82.4 million), according to the London-based Times.
An investor would pay cash upfront in return for earnings from albums, T-shirts, touring and sponsorship, the Times said, citing Williams’ manager Tim Clark. Williams, who is nearing the end of a 55 million-pound, four-album contract with EMI Group Plc, is also considering standard record company deals, the newspaper said.
