By Sylvia Wier
March 20 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. Postal Service said today it will close offices, cut jobs and offer early retirement to workers in an effort to save more than $100 million annually.
The agency is closing six of 80 district offices, while 15 percent of the workers holding district-level positions will lose their jobs. About 150,000 workers across the U.S. will be offered early retirement.
