Nov. 12 (Bloomberg) -- Wal-Mart Stores Inc. posted third- quarter profit of 84 cents a share. Analysts surveyed by Bloomberg estimated average profit of 81 cents.

Full-year profit will be $3.57 to $3.61 a share, up from a previous forecast of $3.50 to $3.60 a share, Walmart said in a statement. Analysts surveyed by Bloomberg estimated average profit of $3.58.

Fourth-quarter profit will be $1.08 to $1.12 a share, Walmart said. Analysts surveyed by Bloomberg estimated average profit of $1.12.
