Freddie Mac Extends Suspension of Home Evictions Until April 1

March 5 (Bloomberg) -- Freddie Mac, the mortgage-finance company under federal control, is extending a freeze on evictions until April 1.
The moratorium, which was set to expire this week, is being extended so struggling homeowners can weigh their options under a new housing rescue plan that the Obama administration detailed yesterday, the McLean, Virginia-based company said in a statement today.
