Petrobras May Shift Exploration Drills to Brazil, Valor Says

By Anabela Reis

Aug. 19 (Bloomberg) -- Petroleo Brasileiro SA, Brazil's state-controlled oil company, is considering using drills in the country's oil fields that were initially planned for use in the Gulf of Mexico, Valor Economico said, citing executive director for exploration and production, Guilherme Estrella.

Petrobras has ordered two of the drills from South Korea and one from Norway, the Brazilian newspaper said. They may be deployed for testing in the Tupi field off the Brazilian coast, Estrella said, according to Valor.
