Feb. 4 (Bloomberg) -- Brazilian consumers will be able to enter loan pools to purchase services such as plastic surgery and tourism packages, the central bank said.

Consumer loan pools, known as consorcios in Brazil, were previously limited to goods such as cars and real estate, the central bank said in an e-mailed statement today. The new rules also seek to grant consumers and companies managing the pools more security, the bank said.
