March 19 (Bloomberg) -- Cia. Vale do Rio Doce, the world's largest iron ore producer, plans to add 62,000 jobs over the next 5 years as the company boosts output to meet demand, O Estado de S. Paulo newspaper reported.

The Rio de Janeiro-based company plans to employ more people in Brazil, the U.S., England, Australia and Canada, Estado said, citing Maria Gurgel, Vale's human resources planning director.
