Nov. 3 (Bloomberg) -- EDP Renovaveis SA, the renewable- energy unit of Portuguese utility EDP-Energias de Portugal SA, plans to start building a 70 megawatt wind energy project in Brazil in February, Diario Economico reported, citing EDP Renovaveis Chief Executive Officer Ana Maria Fernandes.

EDP Renovaveis also plans to bid in a wind energy auction in Brazil that has been postponed, the Portuguese newspaper said.
