Mexico Central Bank Says Inflation to Keep Slowing (Update1)

By Crayton Harrison and Jens Erik Gould

Oct. 28 (Bloomberg) -- Mexico’s central bank said inflation will continue slowing in the fourth quarter and said it will delay a more specific forecast until after lawmakers finish debates on proposed fiscal changes and next year’s budget.

Gross domestic product rose on a seasonally adjusted basis in the third quarter from the second quarter, the bank said today in a report on its Web site.

Mexico’s central bank will publish its quarterly predictions for inflation and economic growth within four weeks of Congress passing the 2010 budget, Manuel Ramos Francia, the central bank’s chief economist, told reporters today in Mexico City.
