By Jacqueline Simmons
Nov. 12 (Bloomberg) -- Natixis SA, France's fourth-biggest bank, denied a report in the French newspaper La Tribune that it lost almost 1 billion euros ($1.26 billion) on market trades in October.
Natixis had ``negative revenue'' for investment banking in October of about 250 million euros, ``much less than the number advanced in the article,'' the Paris-based company said in an e- mailed statement today. The bank said it also had ``cost of risk'' related to the financial crisis of about 250 million euros in the month. Natixis publishes third-quarter results tomorrow.
