Nov. 20 (Bloomberg) -- David Knight, a former sales trader at ICAP Plc and Citigroup Inc.’s equities businesses, is joining UBS AG to lead a team of salespeople catering to hedge funds.

Knight starts in January as managing director and will report to Edward Keen and Makram Fares, co-heads of European flow execution, according to an internal UBS memo dated Nov. 19 and obtained by Bloomberg News.

Knight joined ICAP from Citigroup in February 2008 and the company said this month the sales trader was leaving the London- base brokerage. He wasn’t reachable for comment.
