Magna International, Suncor, Telus: Canada Equity Preview

Nov. 5 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies may have unusual moves in Canadian trading tomorrow. Stock symbols are in parentheses.

The Standard & Poor’s/TSX Composite Index rose 109.50 points, or 1 percent, to 11,180.70.

Magna International Inc. (MG/A CN): Canada’s largest auto- parts company said it earned 45 cents a share in the third quarter, surprising analysts, who said the company would lose 21 cents a share on average, excluding certain items, according to a Bloomberg survey.

Suncor Energy Inc. (SU CN): Canada’s biggest energy company is scheduled to report third-quarter earnings before the market opens. Analysts surveyed by Bloomberg News estimate on average that the company will report earnings of 28 cents a share, excluding certain items.

Telus Corp. (T CN): The country’s second-largest wireless carrier is scheduled to report third-quarter earnings before the market opens. The average profit estimate among analysts surveyed by Bloomberg is 83 cents a share, excluding certain items.
