Feb. 1 (Bloomberg) -- The euro rose against the dollar and yen.

The common European currency advanced to $1.4885 as of 7:53 a.m. in London, from $1.4861 yesterday in New York. It climbed for a second day against the yen, rising to 158.38 from 158.18
