Dollar Extends Advance Against Euro, Trades at 7-Week High

Dec. 17 (Bloomberg) -- The dollar extended its gains against the euro, climbing to the highest in seven weeks.
The U.S. currency rose to $1.4374 as of 7:33 a.m. in New York, from $1.4429 on Dec. 14. The dollar traded at 113.44 yen, near highest in a month, from 113.27.
The dollar gained against all but one of the 16 most- actively traded currencies tracked by Bloomberg today.
