By Kevin Bell

Nov. 9 (Bloomberg) -- General Motors Corp. will invest about C$100 million ($94 million) to increase production capacity at one of its Canadian auto assembly plants, the Globe and Mail reported.

The upgrade of its Cami Automotive Inc. unit will be announced today at the plant in Ingersoll, Ontario, the newspaper said, citing unidentified people familiar with the plans.

The plant will be improved to increase production of the Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain crossover utility vehicles, signaling GM’s confidence in the auto industry’s recovery and demand for the two vehicles, the Globe said.
