`Jeopardy' Host Trebek Has Mild Heart Attack, AP Reports

By JoAnne Norton

Dec. 11 (Bloomberg) -- Alex Trebek, the host of the syndicated television game show ``Jeopardy,'' suffered a minor heart attack, the Associated Press reported, citing the show's spokesman.

Trebek, 67, went to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles last night, AP said, citing Jeff Ritter, a spokesman for the CBS Corp.-owned quiz show. He was expected to undergo two days of tests and observation, Ritter told AP.

Trebek, a native of Canada, has been host of ``Jeopardy'' since 1984 and has received several daytime Emmy awards, AP said. The show is on hiatus until January.
