World Bank President Zoellick Praises Canada’s Finance System

June 8 (Bloomberg) -- Canada’s financial system should serve as a model for other countries in the financial crisis, World Bank President Robert Zoellick said.
“Canada’s experience offers lessons to others, especially its strong financial and regulatory environment that is helping it manage the shocks of the downturn, particularly in the banking sector,” Zoellick, who is speaking at a conference in Montreal today, said in an e-mailed statement.
