Feb. 13 (Bloomberg) -- A man living in Vancouver is asking the Kennedy family for a DNA sample to determine whether he is the son of former U.S. President John F. Kennedy, the Globe and Mail reported.
Jack Worthington is the subject of a story that ``Vanity Fair'' magazine has been working on about a possible son of the late president, the Globe said today.
Worthington, who has been talking to the Globe over the past few days on condition of anonymity, agreed to have his photo taken and name published after it was revealed by a Vancouver publication, the newspaper said.
Worthington told the Globe that part of ``Vanity Fair's'' research focuses on his mother's paternal family and its history as political allies of former President Lyndon B. Johnson, who was Kennedy's vice president.
Worthington, a U.S. citizen who is married to a Canadian, showed a passport and driver's license with his date of birth, Nov. 22, 1961, indicating he may have been conceived a few weeks after Kennedy was inaugurated, the Globe said. No proof of any connection to Kennedy has been made, the newspaper said.
The New York Post last week reported Vanity Fair was working on a story about a possible Kennedy son, the Globe said.
