Jan. 27 (Bloomberg) -- Australia's Adam Scott carded a final-round 11-under-par 61 to clinch victory in golf's Qatar Masters in Doha, the second time he's won the event.
Scott, 27, finished on 268, 20-under par, three shots ahead of Sweden's Henrik Stenson. Charl Schwartzel of South Africa was a further two shots back, with overnight leader Johan Edfors of Sweden on 14-under.
Scott, the 2002 winner, laid the foundations for his victory by scoring five straight birdies today. His effort beat the course record of 63, though he just failed to match the European tour's lowest final-round by a winner, 60.
World No. 8 Scott won $417,000, as well as a BMW car for his course record.
A week ago Germany's Martin Kaymer won the Abu Dhabi championship by four shots over England's Lee Westwood and Stenson to claim his first European Tour title. Kaymer failed to make the cut after two rounds at Doha, while Westwood came fifth on 13-under today.
