Feb. 5 (Bloomberg) -- Keppel Corp. said its unit will supply natural gas to Exxon Mobil Corp.'s plants in Singapore in a ``long-term'' contract worth more than S$3 billion ($2.1 billion) at current prices.
The gas supply agreement will begin next year, Keppel said in a statement to the Singapore exchange. Exxon Mobil, the world's second-largest oil company by value, has one petrochemical complex on Singapore's Jurong Island, and is building a second plant.
Keppel, the world's largest oil-rig maker, said the contract isn't expected to contribute to earnings this year. The Singapore-based company last week reported fourth-quarter sales of S$3.36 billion, and net income of S$268 million in the same period.
PetroChina Co. is the world's biggest oil company by market value.
