By Gene Laverty
May 27 (Bloomberg) -- Scotland's Dario Franchitti won a shortened Indianapolis 500 after rain delayed the race for three hours, then returned to bring an end to the race after 166 of 200 laps.
Scott Dixon was second in the Target Ganassi Racing car. Pole-sitter Helio Castroneves finished third and last year's winner Sam Hornish Jr. was fourth in cars fielded by Penske Racing. Ryan Briscoe rounded out the top five.
