Michael Vick Pleads Guilty to Conspiracy in Dogfighting Case

Aug. 24 (Bloomberg) -- Michael Vick pleaded guilty to a federal conspiracy charge in Richmond, Virginia, saying in a statement of facts that he helped run a dogfighting operation from a home he owned in that state.
The Atlanta Falcons quarterback said in court papers that the enterprise involved illegal gambling activities and that he was aware that his three co-defendants killed dogs that fought or tested poorly.
