Nov. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Ruud Gullit, Europe's player of the year in 1987, has signed a three-year contract to become David Beckham's coach at Major League Soccer's Los Angeles Galaxy, NOS reported, without saying where it got the information.

Gullit, 45, will succeed Frank Yallop, the Dutch broadcaster said. The Dutchman previously managed Chelsea, Newcastle United and Feyenoord.
