Turkey Aims for Second Nuclear Tender Next Year, Star Reports
By Steve Bryant
Nov. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Turkey plans to be ready to tender for the construction of a second nuclear power plant in September next year, Star newspaper reported, without saying how it got the information.
The Energy Ministry in Ankara aims to prepare legislation setting the conditions for the tender and to establish a board to regulate the nuclear power industry, the newspaper reported.
The decision comes as the Cabinet weighs an offer from Russia’s Atomstroyexport to build the country’s first nuclear power generator, Star said.
