April 4 (Bloomberg) -- Royal Dutch Shell Plc, Europe's biggest oil company, extinguished a fire on a pipeline that pumps oil to the Bonny export terminal in Nigeria.
The fire was extinguished yesterday, Rainer Winzenried, a spokesman for Shell, said by phone today. Exports from the Bonny terminal were not disrupted and the company doesn't plan to announce force majeure on its supplies, he said.
``We were able to repair minor damages to the pipeline,'' Winzenried said. ``The fire was sabotage.''
Force majeure is a legal clause that allows companies to miss contract deliveries because of circumstances beyond their control.
