India to Form State-Run Company to Bolster Energy Efficiency

Nov. 4 (Bloomberg) -- India said it will form a state-run company to bolster energy efficiency, with NTPC Ltd., Power Finance Corp., Rural Electrification Corp. and Power Grid Corp. owning shares of the company, according to Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. The firm will help save 30,000 megawatts of power capacity, he said.
