Petrobras Finds More Oil in Brazil's Deep-Water Campos Basin

By Joao Lima

Oct. 14 (Bloomberg) -- Petroleo Brasileiro SA, Brazil's state-controlled oil company, found oil in an offshore well in the Campos Basin, the country's petroleum regulator said.

Petrobras, which hasn't determined if the find can be developed commercially, discovered the crude in the BC-60 block using the Pride Portland rig, the National Petroleum Agency said on its Web site. The well, numbered 6BRSA639ESS, was drilled to 4,920 meters (16,140 feet) below the sea floor.

An oil find at another well in this block was notified on Aug. 27.

Separately, Petrobras found oil in the 1BRSA664ES onshore well, located in the ES-T-418 exploration block in Brazil's Espirito Santo Basin.
