The Providence Journal Bloomberg Rhode Island Index is a price-weighted index designed to measure the performance of the Rhode Island economy. All of the index members are either headquartered in Rhode Island or have a large presence in the state and have a minimum market capitalization of $15 million. The index was developed with a base value of 100 as of December 30, 1994.
